I have a MBP 13 2010..came with 4gb RAM, 250GB hard drive and a core2duo 2.4GHz
I upgraded the internals over the year with 8GB RAM , SSD 120GB drive(Read- 135 MB/s , Write- 270 MB/s; limited by SATA2) and a new battery, arctic silver thermal pasting.
Running High Sierra on it and runs pretty well for basic tasks. Keyboard and Trackpad are still great. VLC Playback is top notch with upto 1080.

Issues :
Youtube can do either 720 60 or 1030 30 fps Max with some frame drops.
In 2020, this 720p screen feels a little pixelated. Colors are nice though.
Bad TV Streaming experience(only 720p content can be streamed with medium settings in Chrome's VideoStream App) via chromecast to my TV due to slow Processor/GPU.
Speakers are fried.
Heavy 4.5 pounds.. LoL, didnt take it out much.

Which MBP you think i should go for ?

I would be pretty okay with Base 13 Macbook Pro with 16GB Ram. but Bad Apple doubled the RAM upgrade prices ehh

10th gen MBP 13 is too expensive for what it provides.. 14 inch upgrade would have been nice.

I am not very much in for Air due to bad thermals. I would be keeping the current purchase for Years Ahead. what about MBP 16 ?

I can really wait for a good upgrade but dont want to.. at the same time dont want to spend 1200-1500 dollars now and repent in 6 months if MBP upgrade arrives..

what do you guys think? should i get one in current best buy sale or wait for next cycle upgrade, probably a 14" MBP we deserve.

You can only "take a 2010 so far" with upgrades.
Time for something new.

If you feel like "trying to wait" for the 14" MBP, keep holding out.
But for now... it remains vaporware.

If you NEED now, BUY now.
The 2020 13" MBP looks very nice.
I'd get the 4 port model in a "base configuration" (but that's just me).

Thanks I second that.. I believe current 4 port model aint full VFM, should wait for a 14"
