Help needed to connect External LG lcd monitor to MACBOOK 13''

Hi Friends,

Recently I bought MACBOOK 13'' white, and with it I bought LG W1934S 19 Wide LCD Monitor. The Monitor has VGA port. Online I checked MIN -DVI to VGA cords..But they are very small (6''). Could you please help me to find a suitable ( lengthy) cord. Thanks in advance.

You need the miniDVI to VGA adapter and then the regular VGA monitor cable from the adapter to the monitor.

MB--->MDP to VGA or DVI adapter---> VGA or DVI Cable to monitor.

MacBook Whites do not have Mini DisplayPort they are Mini DVI

If you want to know if you need the Mini DVI to VGA or DVI adpater the DVI plug is square the VGA has slanted sides

He didn't mention what model he had. But fine, Mini-DVI for a white/blackbook, mini-DP for a unibody.

You might be lookin' for a longer cord/cable from your TV to the MacBook adapter; I was in the same situation and just purchased a nice 12' cable at BB for really cheap...
