Help needed to get a GT610 working yosemite macpro1.1

Hello
I have been having a few graphics issues with my mac pro 1,1 since update to Yosemite so bought a gigabyte 610gt 2gb today thinking it would fix it , all the drivers are upto date and the card is recognized

1) useing the 610 it will not boot on its own.
2) mac only boot with the 7300 is install and being used as the primary graphics card and only sees 8gb of ram
