Help needed to retrieve deleted photos from Macbook Pro

Hi all,
I had these photos in my Macbook Pro 13", Snow Leopard, which I had deleted and emptied the recycle bin.
I had transferred them to an external hdd but that hdd got stolen and my only hope of getting my photos back is if I could rescue them from my Macbook.
In this time, I had also overwritten the photo data.

I need to find a data recovery expert that can recover as many of these photos as possible as they are very dear and important to me.
Most people say this is not possible, but I am hoping that some expert company out there will have some advanced software that could even recover overwritten data.

Does anyone have any experience with such issues and can point me in a direction to go, preferably in London.
Any help is much appreciated.

If the disk space is already overwritten you're out of luck.

Perhaps some companies are able to do it?

Also, does surfing take up space on the hdd and does it use new space all the time?

Yeah, for thousands of dollars...maybe.
