Someone played a joke on me and put a code on my Iphone 5 .

Its the 16GB version but now i cant even connect it to itunes to factory install it.

so im pretty stuck , i have no idea what the code is.

Do a DFU restore and be wary about who you loan your iPhone to.

Thanks alot , formatting now , lost all my stuff though :( will find that ****** one day:mad:

Well, you have 2 choices....Do a full DFU restore, or persuade the dimwit who thought it would be fun to lock you out of your own phone to give you the password.

What a stupid prank. Why did you let this loser even have your phone to begin with ?!

Next time do the occasional backup and use iCloud.

I went to the bathroom and left my iphone on the desk , didnt think anyone would touch it since the teacher was present.

OK BUT NOW i am trying to restore my iphone but half way through the process it disconnects from the computer!!!!!

OMG im so pissed right now

Half way from the restore it disconnects , goes back to the lock screen where i have to put in the password!

and itunes shows me the error message , that i cant connect it to itunes because there is a code/password on the iphone which i have to type in order to connect with itunes

Do a DFU restore and reinstall manually. Your app purchases will be available in the cloud. Hopefully you used iCloud for notes, contacts etc...

Alrighty , reinstalled now but now i noticed some fu*ker has broken the sim card too.

I will find him!!! He is a dead man

Are you sure it's your iPhone?

Yes it is my iphone for sure

but really strange there was no pop up saying that i need to put in a sim card before i restored it ...............but after i restored it , it says i need to put a sim in it to activate

Was it jailbroken? Are you installing iOS 6.1 on it?

updated to 6.1 yesterday and yes the plan was to jailbreak it because i thought someone will launch an app which can unlock the carrier. But then i got replies that it cant be done with an app.

So i dont think i have any use for this JB.......

If i jailbreak it will it still have the same message saying i need to put a sim card to activate it?

because i need it to listen music and it will take around 1 week for my new sim to arrive in the mail
