Hello all,

I have an odd question and searching via google or other automated engine runs me into all sorts of things I don't need and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for in the large pile of non-relevant information. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Here's the set-up:
1. I have an automated remote data collection unit that emails a large data file at irregular intervals (to an email address that is used solely for this purpose).
2. I need to automatically notify 3 people when this data dump occurs (the person on duty will then go into the lab and deal with the data there).
3. I don't want to forward the whole, large, server-clogging file but rather send an email that's a static notice (it can be from a template) that this file has arrived.

Can I do this within mail (or thunderbird) or do I need to set something up in automator (which I've never done but am willing to take a stab at it)?

Thanks!
