I've previously had a first gen iphone with a broken screen. I jailbreaked it and unlocked it using it as a pay-as -you go phone, with an ATT simcard. My friend, who can afford it is going to purchase the new Iphone when its released no matter what it costs. He sold me his 3G iphone that is also jailbroken and unlocked. I have tried putting the simcard from the old iphone into the new 3G iphone and I can get it to work as the phone but I can't connect to the internet either with edge, 3G or even on my home wifi network. Can anyone give me any advise on what I can do to get to the internet? On ATT's go phone page, I've always just added the medianet package and that worked with the original iphone, so I hope I can get it to work with the 3G version. Thanks.

I'm on the same plan, using the exact same setup. Works great. Even have full 3G. So even though I have no advice as to why yours isn't working, I can confirm that it is possible. It should work.

Try a couple restarts, and maybe a restore/re-jailbreak.
