Help!! New Airport Extreme Base Station is SLOW!!!

Went out and bought a brand new Airport Extreme Base Station "n" to replace my linksys wireless modem router. I got the thing hooked up and connected to the internet with one problem. The thing is SLOWER than my old "g" wireless router!!!! I was reaching 8000 kbps download and now reach 2000 to 3000 kbps download with the wireless "g".

Here's the thing...if I attach an ethernet cable i reach 10000kbps download versus the wireless 2000 or 3000Kbps!! What is wrong with the wireless "g" settings??

Please help me you Mac Genius' out there!! I'm dying and want this fixed bad!!

I have updated the firmware etc. to no avail. Is anyone else having this problem??
