HELP! New HDD now I get flashing ? folder on start up :O

Hi guys, I just been trying to upgrade my Mac Mini 1.83 CD
I upgraded the ram and HD following this procedure:

the HD is a 500gb Seagate Momentus 2.5" SATA 7200rpm 16MB Cache HD

the ram is SODIMM DDRII PC5300 667MHz


Help ASAP would be greatly appreciated (I'm now forced to type this on a PC )

You get a flashing ? because there is no startup volume on your new drive. Insert the computer's restore disk and boot while holding the C key. Run through the installer, then reboot.

Thank you, that's great it's not my HDD, I've never done a HDD change before
