On my current 20" iMac, I have set the home folder to be located on an external Hard Disk.
So, the applications are on the internal MacintoshHD and the user path (with preferences, movies, music, personal library) is on the external HD.
I'm getting a 24" iMac and intend to use Migration Assistant to move
the applications from the old Mac....
The external HD will be connected directely through the F800 port....
But How should I use Migration Assistant to move the apps to the new Imac ? Transfer the volume? Applications? user ?
I can not choose "user", as the data is NOT on the Mac itself...
