Model: iPhone 5S
iOS: 8.3

Hello,

I attempted to jailbreak my iPhone 2 days a go, didn't go as easily as planned really. I managed to jailbreak it and get cydia onto my device, but when I tried to install tweaks onto it such as winterboard I had no success at all. For example, I went onto cydia>searched winterboard>installed winterboard, then when I went onto the home screen of my iPhone there was no winterboard app? and there was also nothing in settings for me to change winterboard settings. I then tried to download some other stuff as well, which also didn't work.

Where am I going wrong? If anybody could offer some guidence to somebody like myself that would be great, as I am aware there is now a jailbreak for iOS 8.3.

Thanks
Oli

The main reason I want to jailbreak is to make my device look cool with themes, and run faster with no loading screens etc...

Most stuff you install from cydia won't have an app but located in your settings. Just scroll down and it should be there. If not, try going back to cydia and check if it was successfully installed or remove it and reinstall. Make sure device reboots and recheck. Also, when opening cydia, try letting it completely load all sources so everything gets up to date.

Do I have to add sources for it to work? Also, when you say go into the settings do you mean the iPhone settings or Cydia settings? Thanks

You don't have to but there are sources out there. Your phone settings. It should be below your social apps bit (Facebook, twitter, vimeo) any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
