Help new to photo...Suggest program/app please

Well, with my new iPhone I am now a photo taking genius...of our household at least

I am really enjoying the various photo apps on my phone, now I want something pretty broad for my iMac.

Can anyone suggest a few programs that are fairly easy with various photo effect features, etc?

Preview and iPhoto.... included on every Mac.

Yes, already been using them, limiting for what I am wanting. I like the vintage effects stuff, color splash things, etc.

If you just want to mess with the camera on your iPhone, use the many photo apps made for it. I have PhotoShop Express on my iPad, but I don't recall if it is on the iPhone as well. Most of the applications for the Mac are geared toward managing photo libraries and making adjustments to photos larger than camera pics.

Get Apple's Aperture... It has been recently discounted with the launch of the Mac App Store, making it a bargain.
