Hey There Peoples,

I just updated my 15" 2.66GHZ MBP to 10.6.8 two days ago, and now many of my applications will not open. Each time I open iTunes, Skype, or Microsoft Word (thats all that I have really tried) they don't open and the auto feed is sent to apple. Is there anything I can do to fix this? School starts in a week and I need my computer for notes

Please and Thank you!
:apple:

Assuming you've been using time machine, go to a back up from before the update and copy off all files to an external drive. Then reinstall osx and then update and then install your apps.

That's a dead cert way of checking if it's a bad update install.

ummmmmm..... I haven't been using time machine unfortunately... so should I save what I need and then reinstall? would that be your best suggestion?
