Help! Office 2004 - corrupt fonts on install

I am trying to install Office 2004 onto my 15" Titanium Powerbook running Tiger.

When starting up an app. (Powerpoint and Word so far) I am getting error messages that there are many, many corrupt fonts, at least 50 before I got fed up. So far, I have been unable to get beyond this and get any Office app. to start.

I was running Office 98, and everything was fine . . .

Any ideas where to start? I have a big presentation in 4 days and counting!!!

You were running two different versions of M$ Office simultaneously?
