Hi, I’m really new to Macs, I recently buy an old iBook G3 400MHZ, 384ram, 15 GB HDD (Toshiba brand) and CD-ROM from a garage sale in 95 dollars!

I have a laptop 60GB Toshiba HDD and I bought the Max OS Tiger on DVD
to change the old 15GB to 60 and the Mac os to the os tiger... the first problem I had was the cd-rom drive, so I change it to a dvd-rw drive I have from a Compaq computer (I don’t know if its right but it fits perfectly) and I changed the 15GB HDD to the 60GB they al fit perfectly and the parts are new...

But I can’t boot with the os tiger, it reads the DVD but nothing happens, on screen I get a Mac icon with a question mark blinking

Sry for my bad English, it’s my tird language
I hope I get some help soon tks

During reboot hold down apple key and the c key which will boot from the cd

Tks a lot dude but it didn’t work, I turn on the Mac then I hold apple key and the c... and nothing happens, the os logo and the question mark keep blinking in the middle of the screen:confused:

I just found the mac os tiger dvd was damaged, oh lol, Im going to change it, tks again!
