Some advice needed please, I work for John Lewis and get quite good discount so I can get the latest MacBook Air i5 4gb 256gb for £1099 instead of £1249,
all do I go for the i5 8gb 128gb from the apple online store but will have to pay full price.

Any advice would be great on what one to get.

It depends on your usage. If you think you'll need the extra RAM more, buy from the Apple store. If you think you'll need the space more, buy through your company.

Thank you for your reply, don't do anything which requires much power just surfing and using Microsoft office that's it.

4GB should be fine. Office is a 32-bit application and can't use more than 4GB anyway.

It depends on your computational needs. It seems you can live with either (more RAM, less storage space or more storage space and less RAM), thus the decision is up to you.

You may also attract a larger audience using a descriptive thread title. To change your current thread title to a descriptive one, go to the EDIT button on the bottom right of your original post (post #1) and then click the GO ADVANCED button. You will see an option to change the thread title above the text entry field.

With the work discount and fact that JL give you a 2 year guarantee I say (unless you need the 8GB) buy it through work.
