HELP!! Partition failed Could not unmount disk.

I'm trying to set up a new LaCie hard drive and I've got the same message and can't solve it. How did you do it?

i just unplugged and replugged the external hard drive -- and continued with the instructions and it worked -- not sure why --just glad i can transfer more than 4gb at a time on to it
