I am trying to download and print a PDF from a website. On a PC this downloads and views fine. On the three different macs I have used it doesn't - I am using Safari to download and Preview to view.

A little background...I first had the problem on a pair of E-macs at work, running OSX 10.3....(I can't remember the precise version but as you'll see it can't be an operating system version issue). I assumed it was something to do with the version initially, but coming home I tried it on my ibook on 10.4.11 and got exactly the same thing.

Another PDF on the same site can be viewed but when you go to print it says its too big and it needs to crop or scale. When I try to scale my printer says the file is too large.

As I say, both open, view and print on PC but not on Mac. Admittedly I haven't tried downloading Adobe but I was under the impression that Preview was better anyway.

It's all a bit of a muddle. Does anyone have any clues? It could well be something very obvious.

Thank you!
