Hi all. Can someone please help. There are lots of confusing information.
I have a 3gs stuck on recovery. I tried limera1n on 3.1.3 and its now stuck on apple logo. Is there an untethered jailbreak for the latest firmware.

LimeRa1n doesn't work for devices on 3.1.3

I should have posted this earlier. Messed up. Now I'm restoring to factory firmware 4.2.1 I believe. That too is stuck half way. Is there a way to Jailbreak 4.2.1 untethered? Since this phone does not have the blobs saved.

Only if you're 3GS is the older bootrom model.

Should I try Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta 6 on a mac? I believe you need the shsh from the 4.2.1 b2 firmware stored on cydia. Thats not available.

You need the 4.2.1b3 ipsw to untether an iPhone 4.

To figure what what bootrom your 3GS has do this: http://www.redmondpie.com/how-to-check-iphone-3gs-bootrom-iboot-version/

Doing this will determine whether the jailbreak will be untethered or tethered for you.
