I'm using the Mid-2010 17" Macbook Pro 2.53GHz 8GB Ram. When I previously upgraded to lion, the bootup time was around 40secs, but after upgrading to mountain lion, my bootup time is 2mins 10secs.
Why is that? is there a way to solve this other than a clean install?
Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I remember this happened to Lion as well, but after deleting some old Java files, it worked brilliantly. Did that as well this time, but didn't work.

Seems like a common issue
