Help Please - Core Audio

Hi

For some strange reason i don't have sound anymore on my macbook pro running snow leopard.

The only thing i can still select in my system preferences, sound, is Digital Out in the output selection.

Weird.

Any suggestions?

Use a 3.5mm headphone jack (you probably used one to connect headphones or a speaker system) and plug the jack back into the audio out port and remove it again. Repeat this until the red line coming from that port is gone.

I followed your advice and it worked after 7 times inserting and removing the mini-jack.
