Help please Macbook Air 2012 Catalina power on issue.

Hi all, My first post and i need help with my Macbook air Mid2012 running Catalina.
My problem is occasionally i cannot start it, nothing no signs of life at all. I press the power button and nothing then after an undetermined time like 5 to 10 mins it just comes on. when its on everything works as normal and i can switch it off and restart for a couple of days and then out of the blue again it wont switch on again.
The charger cable when plugged in flashes once then steady green light for 20 secs then goes out. The battery has loads of life in it. holds a really good charge. I did receive an error once after it came back on so i disabled the hibernation and sleep to the best of my ability hoping that would stop this issue but it just happened again. I would like it to switch on every time when i either open the lid or press the power button. I mostly turn it off completely between uses. thanks in advance for any help, cheers.

Interesting... You may be having early warnings of imminent hardware failures.. Have you tried resetting NVRAM and SMC? I would do that and see how it goes.. You may also have a charger issue. I would also see if you can find another genuine apple charger for it. Those light sequences aren't normal.Will usually come on solid amber when initially plugged in and stay there until fully charged, then go solid green. If it totally goes out, something isn't right.. Maybe NVRAM and SMC reset will help. Try that and see.

I have a 2012 Air and it would do that too. It had attributed it to the Sinetech and Mx500 I put in it. After Big Sur it has worked normal again.
