Help please! New MBP, can't install from cd

Hi,

I've just unpacked my first MBP and when I tried to install Spyder 3 calibration software I got some problems.

When I opened the install file directly from the cd noting happend.

When I first copied the install file to the desktop and then installed it worked.

Can somebody please explain what happend and if something is wrong.
