Hi Guys,
need a little help please as I have scoured to the web trying to find a solution to the issue I am facing. I am unable to get notifications for DM Apps on my iphone 14 Pro Max, currently running IOS 16.4.1 (a). The issue popped up a few days ago, where I have to open Whatsapp or Insta etc and only then do I receive my messages. Imsg on the other hand is working fine. When people send me messages on whatsapp they see only one tick as the message is not delivered. When I open the app i see 'connecting..' for a split second at the time and only then my messages load. I updated to 16.4.1 (a) in the hopes that maybe it was a bug that had been addressed but no luck.

I have reset location and privacy settings, rebooted the phone, ensured that Focus/DND is not causing the issue as well as checked notification settings (ios and whatsapp) and they are all fine. Background refresh is also on for these apps. To top it off I am unable to backup whatsapp chat data even if I wanted to delete and reinstall the app (the upload progress bar just stays spinning at 0%). I dont believe deleting it would help either because it doesnt seem to be app related, rather its across all Meta apps.

having poured over tons of youtube videos which repeatedly stress the same thing i.e reset location privacy settings, I am still unable to fix this. Have seen quite a few people complain of the same issue on reddit.

has anyone faced this and been able to resolve it?
