Help Please !!! Old imac harddisk doesnt mount

Hi all,

I upgraded my IMac's 6.1 (its first gen. Intel Imac 24 inch) hardrive with a new 2TB HDD. And I upgraded OS Snow Leopard to Lion. It works like a charm.

After I needed some old stuff from the old HDD, I connected it through USB with 2 different docks, but the new system doesnt mount it. I looked at the Disk utility it doesnt even see it.

Please help me I dont want to reinstall the old HDD again.

Is there a way to mount it?

Can you hear the old drive spin up or feel it vibrate? Do you hear clicking? Do the docks need power cables that you haven't plugged in?
