i have an iphone 3g (second gen)
the screan lights up and its all white but theres no displace i did a restore and nothing is happening

#1 a 3g is not a second gen iPhone. it is a 3rd gen (3g)

I'm not sure why you are getting the screen issue. Something hardware related is most likely the issue. Therefore, the iPhone needs hardware repair of some sort. You are correct in calling it the second generation iPhone. 3G means nothing as to the generation of iPhone, it's simply a meaningless wireless technology generation designation, cargit...
