MANY THANKS for any responses and for your assistance.

How do we connect power to PCIe cards that require it, using the headers on board? The Belden connectors that sell for $80 won't do the job. Look at this video, at 24:06.

The author of that video said that he got the yellow breakout cables with this Avid cards.

I believe that what is needed is 8 pin female pci adapter to molex. There are hundreds of male pci adapters, but they won't mate with the Belden.

I am looking for a way to provide power to a PCIe card that has a molex connection, and another uses SATA power connector.

And for all the praise that Apple is getting for including those power connections, it should be noted that for hard drives they included a 10 pin power connector that no one can utilize, at least not at this time.

At 11 minutes and change and again at 23 minutes, the author recognizes the value of the rack mounted system over the tower, and something I thought of before I bought mine. Like the 5,1 cMP, you can replace componentry without removing all the external cables. Not so with the tower thumbsdown.gif
