How do we connect power to PCIe cards that require it, using the headers on board? The Belden connectors that sell for $80 won't do the job. Look at this video, at 24:06.
The author of that video said that he got the yellow breakout cables with this Avid cards.
I believe that what is needed is 8 pin female pci adapter to molex. There are hundreds of male pci adapters, but they won't mate with the Belden.
I am looking for a way to provide power to a PCIe card that has a molex connection, and another uses SATA power connector.
And for all the praise that Apple is getting for including those power connections, it should be noted that for hard drives they included a 10 pin power connector that no one can utilize, at least not at this time.
