Help (PPC G4 won't boot; need to rebuild?)

Hi all
My much loved (and retired to work at home) PPC g4 has died completely – I have tried all key short cuts to force the machine to boot with no luck – I do not have the boot disc – does anyone think I could rebuild my machine form scratch?

Have you tried all of these steps?

Mac doesn't boot

Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck

Troubleshooting: My computer won't turn on

A flashing question mark appears when you start your Mac​

And to rebuild your Mac, you need some Mac OS X installation media.

Just a suggestion for future reference. You might want to make the title of your thread more informative. Just titling it "Help" don't really tell much. You all likely get more responses, and more helpful responses, if you give more information in your title.

Thanks for the advice on posting – I don’t use forums very often so I appreciate the advice. I have followed you leads and it sounds like my mother-board ready for the bin
