Hi Guys,

My GF has a Lexmark X6170 printer which she uses with her PC. I have tried to hook up the usb from the printer to my MB and tried to print, However it always gives me a message " printer not responding. I don't know what am I doing wrong. As far as I remember, I don't need to install the cd that comes with the printer that my GF installed on her PC, or do I have to install the CD that came with the printer on my MB. Any recommendation would be appreciated.

Cheers!!!

is it supported by osx? the CD you mentioned is probably for windows, goto their website to see if u can find a driver for osx.

I would try the CD first... it usually comes with drivers for pc and mac... but go to lexmarks site and download the driver if that doesn't work.

I went to the Lexmark website but for the model I mentioned they don't have any drivers for the Mac. So I don't know, if this printer is even compatable or not.
