I have an HP PSC 1510 all-in-one printer connected to my Windows XP machine via USB. Both the PC and my iBook (10.4.7) are networked and can see each other easily. When I try to add the 1510 via Printer Setup Utility, I'm able to locate it successfully through "network neighborhood > mshome > (my pc name) > HPPSC150." However, when I finally try to print, the printer shoots out page after page of weird ASCII characters. I have the necessary drivers installed on both the Mac and PC, but I still can't get the Mac to print correctly. Any ideas why?

I run a PSC 700 on a windows XP machine networked to may apple powerbook, I added it to the printers through -printer - more priters - windows printing - then choose the machine the printer is on, and go through the drivers until you find a "cups" print driver that matches close to your model... it works very well for me. check out my blog for other tips from a windows guy using a mac.
