Hi all,

Need some help, I have a macbook pro 15" unibody dec last year model. I updated to 10.6.2 the other day and all updated fine but notciced the rainbow swirl kept appearing when ever I tried to do anything. I then noticed time machine was indexing in the background and figured that was the problem. I left time machine to get on with it and after the system appeared to be fine after it had been shut down during the night.

The next few days safari required an update to 4.04 which I did. After the update safari couldnt open and that it needed to be reinstalled to correct the error. I cannot now even delete safari as the rainbow swirl is back and it appears the macbook is processing or trying to do what I ask it even slower.

Could anyone help with this? could it be the hard drive which is on the way out?, which I have replaced with a seagate 500gb drive about 6 months ago Or could it just need a fresh install?

Any help would be most grateful

Many Thanks

Paul
