I am trying to take EyeTV recordings, drag them to Toast, make a disk image, and then use Handbrake to convert the video into .mp4 files. The problem lies in the last step, with Handbrake.
When I start ripping/encoding/whatever it's called, progress will reach 60% - 70%, then go to the second encode (2-pass), and freeze up with anywhere from .05% to 1.55% progress. I have to close the program because, no matter how long it sits, nothing happens.
I've fixed disk permissions, I ran FSCK (I had a serious disk error, so thought running this might fix the problem.) I've uninstalled and reinstalled Handbrake. Still the problem persists.
Also, Handbrake won't let me adjust either Target size or Target bit rate. Bit rate will change depending on the video, but target size always stays at 700.
Any help with either issue is appreciated. Thanks.
