Help: put in start up disk 2 restart & run disk utility then stuck at white screen

Help: put in start up disk 2 restart & run disk utility then stuck at white screen

When I run disk utilities it tells me the repair failed so I insert the startup CD and restart my computer... but then I get stuck at a white screen.

I can get out of the white screen by pressing alt and selecting my hard drive but I want to repair my computer.

Any advice?? Thanks
