my iphone 4s is stuck. when i tried to unlock it by sliding the arrow, it got stuck right when it shifted to the right. i tried to power down but nothing. help please!!

i did a restore of it and it seemed to work but everything has been wiped clean even after i restored from the last backup which was yesterday.
i remembered that i had synced my contacts with iCloud. so i enabled it again on restored iPhone and everything is back
