Help re-Jailbreaking 3Gs 4.2.1 ?

I recently had a 3Gs on 4.1 software that kept freezing at the apple screen. So I updated and restored to 4.2.1 - However, when trying to jailbreak via LimeRa1n, its a no go. I need to figure out how to re jailbreak it. Any help greatly appreciated.

Use Redsnow to JB. With 3GS & 4.2.1, it could be a untethered (old bootrom) or tethered (new bootrom) JB.

I tried doing this, however the blank cydia icon that shows up on my phone, will not open. The screen changes briefly, but then quits... Is there any way to fix this, or does anyone know if Limera1n is available yet for 4.2.1??
