Just had a spill of Coke onto a closed Macbook. Switched off and the battery comparment etc is dry. However, I think some coke went inside the Superdrive....uh oh. On taking the cd out that was originally in, it was covered in liquid. However, now it comes out as almost a sticky film...

Cds are recognised and can be written to but there is definately some residue on the foam part of the drive (where the cd enters the slot). Basically, am I ****** and if so, when will I know? Everything seem tentatively ok so far...

Thanks

I would turn the thing off and let it sit for a day.

Try it tomrorow and if it works, you lucked out. I don't think it would work and then stop after that...
