Help re: USB

I have a situation.. I'm using a IMAC new 10.8 OSX..

I bought a USB piano synth(no drivers necessary because it's class A)..

but my ImAc does not recognize the USB a keyboad at all. Ive switched usb ports..

WHen I go to About MAC, More Info, Systems, and then go to USB, I don't see my keyboard called Bass Station 2 in the USB chain..

Anything else I can do or?

Do you know, what exact Mac OS X version and what exact Mac model you have?
To do so, go to Applications > Utilities > System Information > Hardware > Model Identifier and System Information > Software > System Version and report your findings.

Also in System Information, does the synth show up as a USB device? If not, try hooking it up to another computer; it could be that the synth is bad.
