help!reinstalling macosx trying to delete language

hey guys im reinstalling macos x i just got my 15 inch mbp. so now i used the disc that came with it i went to the customize tab and now im trying to deselect all the other languages because i wont be using any them but when i click it nothing is happening
its just staying selected errrr 1.9 gb for languages i dont speak i dont want them!!!!!!!!

Just use the Monolingual software utility from Versiontracker to remove the languages afterwards.

It seems to have removed all of your caps and punctuation, too.

I asked elsewhere but do not think I got a response..
If I use monolingual, will that be the equivalent as doing a custom install with regards to the amount of space freed, and any potential problems. E.g., the comp thinks the language is there and tries to search for it.

Rather than starting yet another thread... do the steps in this guide to re-installing OS X on an Air apply to a MacBook Pro too? or is there anything I should change when I follow it?
