Hey gang. Maybe you can help me with this.

At my job I help maintain the Mac Lab, and well... they're old. I'm typing this now on a Power Mac 8600/300, running 9.2.

Anyways, I need to simply remove an AOL IM icon from the Menu bar at the top (was it called the Menu bar in 9.2? sorry, I don't know this stuff!). The program is no longer in the system, but I can't get rid of the ugly icon. ANyone know how I can remove this?

Thanks!

Hi there. This little guy resides in the Extensions folder. Just drag it to the trash and reboot, and it won't show up again!

Wait... upgrade his 8600 to OS X or the lab to newer Macs? I'm hoping you meant the latter. ;)

Hey, with the new Mac mini out now, what better way to upgrade your lab! :) (<--- Shameless plug)
