My wife would like to use her iPhone 4 to stream videos from our iMac down to her workout area in the basement. We have an old TV there.

I can get the video to stream to the iPhone, and I can get the iPhone to play on the TV through the Apple composite video cable.

My problem is her case doesn't allow the cable to plug in, and it's a pain in the neck to get on/off. Are there better cases for use with a cable like this? Is a new case the solution, or should I get one of those port extenders (like dockstubz). Will the port extenders fit into the opening in the case, if the cable can't?

Also, she'd like to use a remote control to start/stop the video as she's working out. Does only the universal remote allow the use of an Apple Remote with the iPhone 4?
