I didn't update my iPad 2 firmware but I wanted to do a full restore of my iPad reloading 4.3. I have my SHSH blobs saved on the cydia server. I edited my host file to point to the cydia server 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com. And Option restore itunes. I keep getting an error 1013 and it's stuck in recovery. I ran tiny umbrella exit recovery but it's not working. It's stuck in a recovery loop.

What did I do wrong? How do I fix this?

I entered DFU mode and tried Fix Recoery in Tiny Umbrella. I get the following:

04/20/2011 22:11:08.997 DFU Device connected 04/20/2011 22:11:19.339 Attempting to fix recovery... 04/20/2011 22:11:19.847 Starting fix recovery sequence... 04/20/2011 22:11:19.855 Fix Recovery has finished. Allow device to reboot!

But then nothing happens. It stays in DFU mode and it doesn't reboot. Anyone???

Can someone PLEASE HELP! I'm so frustrated I'm about to upgrade it to 4.3.2. It's stuck in recovery loop and tiny umbrella can't fix or exit recovery on the ipad 2.

F@#K IT! It's been an hour and no one has offered advice. I'm fu@#king updating it to 4.3.1. There goes the possibility of an unlock. :-(

Start the TSS server in tiny first, then restore. Also try recboot to knock yourself outta recovery.

If your shsh is saved you can restore back to it later. Updating to 4.3.2 now is fine.

Oh, wait. Unless you have 3G. Your baseband might be updated with it. If you're wifi, you're fine

RecBoot 2.2 didn't work.

Well, you're lucky at least that you got the 4.3 SHSH on file. I missed the firmware window on mine. I got it the day 4.3.1 came out and by the time I got home to TinyUmbrella it, the window was closed. DAMN.

I have 4.3.1 and 4.3.2 now on file, and am currently on 4.3, but am doing very little to it until there's more word on the JB. It really kinda sucks because I want to sell my iPad 1, but keep preventing myself from doing so because I'm still using it more than iPad 2.

I'm so accustomed to ActionMenu and the lookup feature that I can't really use iPad without it.

I agree, my jailbroken iPad1 was used more than my new iPad2. waiting on the JB! but if I'd kept the iPad1 the resale prices are dropping. I've reverted to using my jailbroken Touch 4G much more, with retina screen, the Touch is what iPad3 will be. it's very nice.

The iPad 2, just like the original iPad, is factory unlocked. So you need not to be worried about missing the "possibility of an unlock". Secondly, Musclenerd mentioned a while back about having an iPad 2 3G, one with a baseband, and not being able to restore to 4.3 despite having SHSH blobs. Now you did get the 10XX error which on all the other devices you can either kick out with TinyUmbrella/Fix Recovery or just run Redsn0w/Greenpois0n. But since there's no jailbreak I'm not 100% sure that 3G iPad 2's can't downgrade even if they have SHSH blobs saved. Nonetheless, at this point there's no real advantage in staying at 4.3 even though the only iPad 2 jailbreak shown publicly was at 4.3. I'm sure when the iPad 2 jailbreak is released it'll support 4.3.2.

I hope you're right. I had to update. :( At least I have the blobs saved so if/when a jailbreak for 4.3 comes out I can use the blobs to downgrade during the jailbreak process.
