my imac recently died and am hanging on for the next refresh before buying again.

In the interim, I am borrowing an eMac from a mate.

I have my time machine back up from the old mac but only want to restore my iWeb files and general docs. I dont want to do music and pictures until I get the new mac.

Can I just restore selected items?

When I get the new iMac can I then "target disk" iWeb and documents from the eMac and restore the rest from the old iMacs time machine?

or to put it another way...

or to make the question simpler

can I migrate 2 old macs into 1 new one?
