Help! retrieve iphone backup from time machine backup.

Ok so how would I go about retrieving an iPhone backup from time machine? The file is located in the library folder which is hidden unless you hold shift and go to "go" then library, but you cant do that in time machine so I cant get to the file. Any suggestions?

Edit: I was able to retrieve the file by just searching for the mobile sync folder, now how do I restore my iPhone from that file?

Edit: I was able to replace the file in the mobile sync file and it showed up in iTunes.
