I'm trying to rip my daughters ultrasound off the DVD but handbrake doesn't recognize the file types.

The folders are video_rm and video_ts
Video_ts has 6 files in it:
Video_ts.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_0.VOB

files in video_rm:
VIDEO_RM.BUP
VIDEO_RM.DAT
VIDEO_RM.IFO

oddly it plays fine in the DVD player app

You download VLC Player on the Mac you have HandBrake on, install it and start HandBrake again.

HandBrake needs a component of VLC Player to circumvent the copy protection scheme of commercial DVDs.

Ok what about the videos handbrake did with no errors? Should I redo these or are they fine without vlc?

Where those videos from a commercial video DVD and have you checked them for errors?

Only one isn't working right. The ripit file opens just like the others but after using handbrake it just shows the white paper icon.

Ill re handbrake it now
