Never quite sure
I am looking for some help. I have some old software that I have successfully been running inside a Snow Leopard Server 10.6.8 VM using VMWare Fusion. This worked on El Capitan and Sierra. I jsut upgreaded the host mac (iMac 4K, i7, 2016 model) to High Sierra. VMware boots up the VM, but the performance is absolutely unusable. Mouse clicks take multiple seconds to be recognised, and opening files can take up to a minute.

Does anyone know if this is a HSierra problem? A VMWare problem? Or a problem with trying to run an older OS inside the new High Sierra host?

Note: I am using File Sharing between the host and the VM to open the relevant files within the VM. This worked seemlessly on El Cap and Sierra.

Help much appreciated!
