(Sorry if this has been covered. As "help" is not considered a unique word for search, I could not search for this topic easily.)

I am running 10.3.9. I am trying to look for something in Mac Help. When I select Mac Help when I am just in the finder, the help screen shows up for a moment and then disappears. When I am in an application, like Safari, I can browse Safari help using links, but as soon as I try to do a search in the search box, again, the help screen just disappears.

Any ideas? Oh, I have tried both restarting AND a full shut down.

I had the same issue but I'm running Tiger, being a new switcher from Windows the natural thing for me to do was to reinstall the OS. It worked and I now do not have any issues. I'm sure there is a better way of resolving the issue, but I guess I have grown accustomed to doing the quarterly format when I was running XP!!!
