Hey everyone I just hooked up my printer and got it working but I can not get it to scan. I push the button and nothing happens and i dont think i have the driver installed for the scanner or something. when i went to the epson site ( the printer is an epson cx6600) and i downloaded the drivers for the scanner and printer and tried to open them nothing happened. can anyone help me? thanks!

I have the Epson CX4600, which has no scan button on it. I have to initiate a scan from the computer using either Epson Scan or any program, like Graphic Converter, which has TWAIN Acquire (which calls Epson Scan). I am assuming the idea is that pressing the button launches Epson Scan. Does your manual say this will work on a Mac? If you can scan from the computer end, then I would check with Epson. If you can not scan at all, you are missing some software. Good luck.
