im sorry , but i can't tell if your trolling or not? , if your arent trolling then it would be great if you could tell us what your daily usage is like and do you travel a lot or are planning to travel a lot with your laptop ? , but in my opinion the downgrade your taking is no where near worth it as your losing a phenomenal screen and lots of extra computing power while only gaining a 1-1.5 lbs less weight

I meant the 1.7GHz i7 model with 8GB ram. I found a refurb for a good price. My usage is browsing the web, having spotify open, and occasional garageband.

Thanks that's exactly what I'll do. I saw a MBA in best buy and fell in love with the weight. I don't haul my laptop around a lot so I don't see why I was considering that as a factor. I just realized after that post i'd be downgrading from a 2880x1800 display to a 1440x900 display.
