help (should I upgrade to 3.2.2?)

I just got home from travel and hooked my Ipad to my mac and I tunes (10.0.1) ask if I want to upgrade to 3.2.2. Do I need this step or can I go strait to 4.2 and how?

I believe you need to update iTunes to 10.1.

There is a thread with a direct download of 4.2.1 somewhere. Shift, click on restore and find the file and bam. Though I'm not sure you don't need 3.2.2. But I remember going from 3.2 to 4.2.1.
