I've just bought a brand new core 2 duo 2.4Ghz 2GbRAM MacBook Pro, already came with Leopard... and i'm having some serious trouble with digital painting in Photoshop CS3 (official Adobe Trial) and in Painter X. When i brush quick with a normal size file the strokes get dalayed and don't follow the pen.. I'm using a Intuos 3 WACOM with latest driver, i already re-installed it for checking, i'm desperate!
I bought this macbook pro fo rusing it as digital painting tool and i still cant' do it! My hand goes faster than the photoshop brush, and i'm a slow painter anyway, i did some tests with file sizes and both PC pentium 4 and macbook, the pentium doesn't delayd at all with a A4 300 dpi file, but the macbook it's impossible to paint.. the trouble increases when i zoom in, specially at 100% and if i plug a secondary monitor, the trouble increases even more! If i use a mouse instead of the WACOM the problem isstill there!
I also tested quick brushstrokes on ArtRage Starter 2 and it's running smooth, no delays! The problem seem to be in Photoshop processing and also on Painter X, so i don't know where to ask help..
Is ther some issue about this or is just with my macbook pro? It's possible to be something hardware related?? Soould i look for applecare for this? All the other featurers, all other software are running perfectly, including graphic card are running smooth, the problem is exacly with brushstrokes on both software.. with or without tablet WACOM... please, there are some system configuration i should look for?
I tryed Adobe support and they say to me that Leopard + CS3 should run perfectly smooth while painting.. CS2 had trouble 'cause it wasn't Universal Code, but CS3 doesn't have any restrictions... i have a friend who has a 2.3ghz core 2 duo macbook pro also with Leopard and CS3 runs..perfect... i just don't know what to do! Where should i look for help?
Thanks for the support, sorry for the big desperate text, it's so frustrating to buy such expensive piece of art that can't do what it's intended for..
